Let’s Play!
Have kids make a tower using empty boxes. Let them throw a stuffed animals from across the room and try and knock down the box towers after they recite the weekly memory verse. This is similar to the Angry Birds app and a game we will play during our unit.
Let’s Talk!
Tell your kid about some positive things you do when you find yourself facing something that causes you to get angry. Practice saying the memory verse ”Control your temper for anger labels you a fool” – Ecclesiastes 7:9
Let’s Read!
Read and discuss one of the Bible stories from above. Talk with your child about how this can apply to their lives.
Let’s Think!
What are some things that you and your child can to turn your back on anger and be kind to others? Role play some possible real life situations that your child might face and how to best deal with them. (ex: bullies at school, mean friend, someone doing something that bothers you, etc…)
Let’s Do!
Put those plans into action. Come up with something you can do together with your child to practice showing kindness to others and do it. Show your child how good it feels to help others and to have a positive impact on the Kingdom of God.
